Maths Tutor Yousaf

Description: Yousaf is an experienced substitute teacher and online tutor who specialises in tutoring Maths up to GCSE level. Here is an outline of his tutor profile.

About Me

I am educated to University degree level in Medicine with a strong background in education and working with children.

I have covered a multitude of schools across Croydon including SEN schools.

Working in both secondary and primary education I have experience as a cover supervisor and teaching supervisor.

Along with this, I am also an HLTA, teaching assistant and currently an NTP tutor for a London high school.

I have taught numerous maths classes as a maths HLTA which involved intervening for low achieving students.

I enjoy tutoring maths, as it allows me to implement a high standard and quality of teaching.

It has a direct impact on the future of young people.

Through my experiences tutoring has allowed me to improve the confidence of students and bring positivity to education.

Teaching Experience

I am an NTP Maths tutor Under Protocol Education.

My main role is tutoring children from years 9 and 10 of both foundation and higher tier abilities.

As a cover teacher and supervisor at other secondary schools in London, I have come across a number of different students with varied abilities.

Each student has a journey and whether they find it daunting or enjoyable, I adapt my teachings to each student as an individual.

I have also supervised trainee teachers during the first weeks at a school and helped them establish a structure for the class.

During my time as an HLTA, I delivered intervention maths classes of 5-10 students, ranging from year 7 to 11, including an SEN class.

I hope to continue working with students online and helping them achieve their desired academic goals.
