I am a Private Maths and Science Tutor and I have recently graduated with a first-class honors degree in Chemical Engineering. This year I will be joining the Imperial College of London to study for my master’s in Advanced Chemical Engineering.
During my time studying, I received a placement in Bosch as a Project Management Intern. There I worked with Senior Management on very large projects. I also had a project of my own to complete, which is currently in the market and is expected to bring in £2 million in revenue.
While studying, I also became President of the Chemical Engineering Society. I was able to bring in many new proposals for the Society. It was during this time that we won the ‘Most Improved Society of the Year’ Award.
During my time at University, I took part in Peer Assisted Learning; where pupils a year above agree to tutor lower years with specific subject material. I would often answer impromptu questions on a range of issues. I also covered specific topics in-depth with students. The students always found my lessons informative and kept coming back to my P.A.L sessions.
Through my experiences, I have gained many management skills. These are incredibly useful when planning lessons and giving clear instructions and objectives for the students. To ensure I provide a great learning experience, I take time to plan and structure well. In this way, I am always able to deliver valuable and engaging content.
