Summer Meetup with Parents, Tutors and Students

It brings me great pleasure to be able to be entrusted with a platform to serve young people and parents through education. Over the years, I have personally seen many young people develop on an academic and personal level. Telios Tutors is more than just a private tutoring agency. The word ‘agency’ often conjures up the image of something ‘impersonal’, lacking in ‘personal touch’.

Rather, Telios Tutors is a team of educators moving together in unity to fulfil a mission of being able to positively impact as many people through education as possible. We are a team of private home and online educators. We build people up, make connections that are often long-standing and operate from a place of love and care. We are genuinely motivated by delivering results, and have been greatly successful in doing just that. When we are serving from an overflowing cup of abundance, being of significance towards others’, the sustainability and solid foundation we have built over the years overcome any changes that may happen externally.

A Parent’s Journey

Many parents are going through the 11+ preparation for their children for the first time. This can often elude feelings of isolation, loneliness, guilt and confusion. This most assuredly does not need to be the case. There are thousands of parents that have been or are also going through the same process that you can learn from and share your journey with. Contrary to popular belief, sharing ideas, exchanging contacts can often ‘add’ to your experience, not detract from it.

Even if you are both intending to send your child to the same school, there is enough to go round and once we deviate from the common ‘scarcity mindset’, we feel freer and release ourselves from feeling limited and insufficient. Yes, spaces are limited in terms of numbers but if you do your preparation right, the right school for your child is very likely to be presented to you.

Summer Meet Up

This summer, at the end of this month in June, we personally invite our students and parents to join us to acknowledge our students’ hard work over the year(s). We love to build our students’ up, appreciate their time and commitment to the lessons, celebrate wins and discuss and struggles we may be facing. We intend to give out prizes, certificates, food and drinks. We have a new initiative to set up a safe and welcoming community of parents who have young children, who wish to better their children’s’ learning experience beyond what is taught in the classroom at school.

Learn and Have Fun

This event will also have an educational element. Our intention is to really get to know our students, practice some interview skills, developing them in confidence and teaching them about leadership and really and truly giving them a voice to be able to speak out about anything that they may be facing in school, whether it may be bullying, or social anxiety, something very common and can easily be neglected. Everything will be of course treated with confidentiality and empathy.

Leadership and Confidence Building

At school, a lot of education is focused primarily on academia. Whilst there is excellence in this, there are future young potential entrepreneurs, public speakers that are often left unpursued due to lack of knowledge in this realm of education. I love to empower others’ that may wish to go against the grain and build businesses. That being said, not everyone is born to be a business leader, and if everyone did, it would put many of us out of business! However, life skills that are learned along the way, real life-experiences that we go through is far more superior in terms of education in comparison to what can be taught theoretically in the classroom.

Please join me, other educators, other parents and students on this day to be a part of a new movement. This event is free and all we ask from you is to bring along another parent or other children you may know.
