Qualified SEN Primary Tutor Ellie

Qualified SEN Primary Teacher Ellie

Description: Ellie has forged an impressive career as a qualified SEN Tutor for Early Years and Primary students. Here is a snippet of her tutor profile.

I have worked in education for eight years. I’ve taught in schools, nurseries, theatres and in private homes. As an SEN Primary Tutor, I pride myself on being able to think creatively. I tailor my approach to a child’s specific needs.

I understand that even at the best of times, school can sometimes feel overwhelming, uninspiring or not quite enough. A classroom teacher has to focus on the needs of all of the children in their care, whereas I am here to focus on your child alone.

I strive to really get to know my students. It is important to understand individual needs and how I can support students both academically and emotionally. Doing this maximises their potential for not only school success, but for their developing mental health and self-esteem.

I have been working with children and young people in schools, nurseries and as a home-based private tutor for eight years. My knowledge base covers English Language, English Literature and Drama to A-Level standard. I also have extensive experience working with much younger children. Currently, I teach in a KS1 classroom during the day. This involves leading performing arts across an infant school and leading interventions for children with SEN needs.

I am able to tutor Early Years Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2 children in all subjects. As an SEN Primary Tutor, I am very comfortable and happy working with children with additional needs. This includes students who find traditional schooling difficult. Students may need that extra little push in a way which feels comfortable and accessible for them and their family.
