With years of tutoring experience working in a secondary school, I can help you feel more confident with both Maths and English Literature/Language. Together we can find the way in which you work best.
I have resources and activities which engage you in your topics and help to increase your confidence. I have a personalised approach to lessons, developing a clear path of progression for every student.
It’s so important to be able to see your own progression in any subject. Together, we will set mini goals and objectives to aim for. You will see how far you’ve come with your learning through our sessions.
Whether it’s a specific topic you’re finding difficult, or if you just want some help with general revision, we can go through this together. We can build your confidence through games, activities and worksheets.
For several years, I have taught GCSE Mathematics, English Literature and Language at a Secondary school. The skills I developed there translate beautifully to my current role as a Private Maths and English Tutor. I also have extensive experience in tutoring remotely. During the first COVID-19 lockdown, I worked with my students remotely. This involved having 1-1 intervention session online.
I create targets for achievement so you can see how far you have come. I also focus on devising fun and creative ways to tutor; inventing games such as ‘Mathnopoly’ and ‘Math and English Uno. These can all be done online, to make the sessions both fun and educational.
