Imperial College Science Tutor Frederick

Description: Private Science and Maths tutor Frederick shares a short snippet of his tutor profile. Frederick is currently tutoring one of our students studying at one of London’s top leading independent schools and we are working closely with her due to having missed time off school.

I am currently a final year MSci Chemistry with molecular physics student at Imperial (UK resident); The courses I have completed, thus far, have given me a strong foundation in all areas of chemistry, including mathematical and analytical techniques.

I also have experiences in academic research; during the summer of 2013 I did a summer placement in computational chemistry (of lipid bilayers). I have also experienced using computational and theoretical models in the laboratory; I enjoy applying my theoretical knowledge to explain experimental results. I have a very solid background in physical chemistry and I am motivated to achieve my very best, both independently and within a research group.

I am a tutor/rising leader for Team-Up; I tutor GCSE and A-level chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics to disadvantaged students. I am a tutor/ambassador for Spectroscopy in a Suitcase; I teach spectroscopy (and spectrometry) to A-level students. I am also a mentor for STEM at Imperial College London; I mentor physics, chemistry, biology, chemistry and poetry to disadvantaged 14-18 year old students.

I am also very proficient in working with Microsoft Office, as well as chemical modelling programmes such as MatLab, MestraNova, GaussView and Avogadro.

Frederick has accommodated lessons at short notice, upheld the Telios Tutors values consistently and received some great feedback from our student.
