About Me
I am an enthusiastic and hard-working individual with a genuine interest in combining the art of teaching with a career in medicine. I have already completed 3 separate placements within the NHS alongside mentoring and tutoring A-Level Biology students. Most progressed with their medical school application this past year and this highlights my time management capabilities. It also shows my desire to assist academic juniors to succeed. I assisted my previous students in achieving fantastic A-Level grades and as a result, getting accepted into Medical School in the UK.
My Experience
These past few years have been extremely beneficial as I was able to understand which style of teaching suits me and most importantly, my students. I did this through weekly OSCE and OSPE teaching sessions for younger year medical students. This was to help them prepare for pivotal written and practical exams. Moreover, throughout my clinical placement year, I was fortunate enough to experience bedside and case-based teaching. This was not for only older year medical students but also consultant medical doctors. Learning from such professionals further fuelled my interest in teaching. They gave me the tools to understand how best to engage with my students.
My Skills
Having completed an Intercalated BSc in Management at the Imperial Business School provided me with more free time. My time was utilised for increasing my experience in teaching students in Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Maths. Furthermore, my experience during my Intercalated degree at the Business School enabled me to develop a wide range of skills. This stems from effective time management to communication through public speaking. All of which will surely contribute to my proficiency as a tutor.
