About Me
My name is Nicole and I have a First Class Honours Degree in English with Creative Writing.
As this suggests, my favourite things to do are to read books and write stories and poetry.
In my spare time, I am currently writing a novel that is set to be published in late 2022.
I believe that my passion and enthusiasm for the English language will make English fun and enjoyable for all of my students to learn.
Teaching Methods
In March 2019 I completed an on-site TEFL qualification which equipped me to teach a large variety of age groups, from Early Years to Secondary school, to adult and business levels.
After completing this course, I spent 1-year teaching Early Years in Thailand which I absolutely loved.
I have found that my favourite way of teaching is through having fun and laughing.
I believe that when the students are having fun, they learn and retain more information because they associate their new knowledge with something enjoyable and memorable.
Therefore I use lots of games in order to encourage the acquirement of new skills and knowledge.
I have been teaching English online for a number of years and I absolutely love being able to connect with students from all over the world.
My experience varies from 11+ children and helping them through their entrance exams to adult learners.
I believe that this is such an important learning curve in every child’s life and I cherish being a part of the process.

11+ English Tutor and Content Creator with Pi Academy
I run the Pi Academy Reading Club. My role is to create the lesson content and commit to teaching the lessons every week.
Also, I teach 11+ exam preparation classes and I am responsible for marking homework, punctually and appropriately.
Online EFL Teacher for Educastream
I taught adults and committed to a flexible schedule that befitted client demands.
My classes were delivered using the teaching materials provided and focused on pronunciation, grammar and conversational skills.
I was also responsible for delivering trial classes in order to attract new students.
Online EFL Teaching
Teaching 5-12 years olds and I committed to a fixed schedule, delivering classes using teaching materials provided.
I focused on pronunciation, grammar, listening, reading, writing and speaking skills and delivered every lesson with enthusiasm and energy.
I was responsible for marking students’ homework promptly and appropriately, delivering trial classes in order to attract new students and undertaking regular training to remain up to date with teaching practices.
Early Years Teacher
My responsibility was for a class of 24 3-4-year olds.
I taught English, phonics, maths, science, drama, art and moral education and was responsible for using both the teaching materials provided and for creating and using my own.
My main focus of teaching was on pronunciation, listening, reading and writing skills.
