SEN Tutors
Private SEN Tutors Who Understand the Individual Learner
A student’s needs cannot be understood from a diagnosis or label alone. Two learners with the same identified need may respond very differently to the pace, structure and communication style of a lesson.
Telios Tutors takes time to understand the individual learner before recommending a tutor. We consider their academic position, strengths, confidence, interests, preferred way of working and any relevant information shared by the family, school or other professionals.
Where appropriate, we can recommend tutors with experience supporting students with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, autism, processing difficulties, working-memory challenges, executive-function needs and other special educational needs or learning differences.
Tuition may be adapted through clearer lesson structure, shorter tasks, visual explanations, repetition, additional processing time or more explicit support with organisation. Adaptation does not mean lowering expectations. The aim is to make learning more accessible while helping the student develop confidence and increasing independence.
Private tuition can complement support provided by a school, SENCO, educational psychologist or other professional. It is not a substitute for a formal diagnosis, therapy, statutory assessment or specialist medical advice.
