Private Tuition Fees
Every tuition arrangement is different. Fees depend on the subject, academic level, tutor experience, location and the type of support required.
The figures below provide an illustrative guide. We will confirm the tutor, hourly or daily rate, any additional costs and the complete amount payable in writing before tuition begins.
All figures shown are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

Registration and tutor matching
Payable when you instruct Telios to begin a standard tutor search. This covers reviewing the requirement, identifying suitable tutors, considering the academic and personal fit, presenting the recommendation and setting up the arrangement.

Online one-to-one tuition
Private online tuition from primary level through to school entrance, GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, the International Baccalaureate and university level.

Private tuition at the family home or another agreed location in London and selected areas, subject to tutor availability.

Homeschooling tuition
Individual or multi-subject tuition delivered online, in person or through a combination of both. The precise rate depends on the tutor, subject, level and location.

Programmes, placements and expenses

Homeschooling and Multi-Tutor Programmes
Homeschooling may involve one tutor supporting several subjects or a team of subject specialists.
Each tutor’s time is charged at the client rate agreed for that tutor. Before the programme begins, we will provide a written quotation showing the proposed tutors, anticipated tuition hours and the complete pricing basis.
We do not add a separate termly coordination fee to standard homeschooling tuition.
Where a family requests substantial additional services—such as curriculum planning, complex timetable management, consolidated multi-tutor reporting or wider academic consultancy—we will define that work separately and confirm the education consultancy fee before it begins.

Residential and Travelling Tutors
Residential and travelling tutor fees begin from £500 per tutor working day.
The final quotation will reflect:
- the agreed teaching hours and working pattern;
- the length and location of the placement;
- the tutor’s experience and specialist requirements;
- whether evening, weekend or accompanying duties are required;
- the level of preparation, reporting or academic planning involved.
Travel, accommodation, meals, visas, insurance, local transport and other assignment-specific expenses are not automatically included in the stated daily fee. Any such costs will be identified and agreed in writing before they are incurred.
Longer residential placements may be quoted on a weekly, monthly or fixed-assignment basis.

Education Consultancy Fees
Private education consultancy begins from £175 per hour.
A fixed project fee may be more appropriate where the work has a defined scope, such as:
- school research and placement support;
- university application planning;
- academic pathway advice;
- homeschooling programme design;
- coordination of a more complex educational requirement.
The scope, deliverables and complete fee will be confirmed before consultancy work begins.
Education consultancy is a separate advisory service. Where the family also instructs Telios to supply a tutor, the applicable tutor rate and registration and matching fee will be confirmed separately.

Travel and Other Expenses
Most ordinary online tuition has no additional expense.
For in-person, residential or international arrangements, any travel or other necessary expense that is not included in the stated rate will be:
- explained before the arrangement begins;
- agreed with the family in advance; and
- shown clearly in the written quotation or invoice.
Expenses will not be added retrospectively unless the family has requested and approved a change to the arrangement.
