During my time in classrooms I have developed an understanding of pedagogy, as well as my own unique personal teaching style, which is based on determining how individual children learn and tailoring my approach to meet their needs.
I have received very positive feedback from the parents of children in my classes, enjoyed a fabulous rapport with my pupils, and achieved excellent results at the end of each year.
I have previously worked in classes of mixed year groups – Reception, Year 1 and Year 5 & 6. Working with both of these age groups has helped me to better understand the needs of children gearing up for the end of Key Stage 2 exams and also the early development and pedagogy so essential for the beginning of children’s school career.
Currently I have started to work alongside the founders of an Education Consultancy, delivering training and sharing best practice advice with a variety of early years settings in my local area.
Through this work I am able to use the experience and understanding I have built up, however I am keen to balance this with a way to continue to work with children directly.
