I have a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology & Sociology and am currently working toward a Masters in Theatre Directing. An integral part of my Masters is working with and understanding texts in a comprehension-style format. This ranges from Greek plays to modern writing.
I have a variety of experience tutoring Key Stages 1 – 3 and Higher Education. My main aim is to make classes as productive, informative and engaging as they can be. In this way, each individual pupil gains the most from their lesson. Before starting the classes, I make sure that the material I choose is specific to the pupil in order to ensure their success.
I can structure lesson content around a specified curriculum, working to expand skills such as writing, poetry analysis and reading. It is important to ensure that students not only progress in every lesson but come away happy and confident. This is vital in creating a positive relationship with academics and school.
I’m a friendly, outgoing and creative English and Drama Tutor, with experience in both child-care and tutoring. My speciality is in one-to-one tutoring and working with disadvantaged pupils doing comprehension and readings. I am more than happy to tailor the lessons to whatever the pupil will require.
