Schools & Councils
We partner with schools, academies, and local councils to provide high-quality, personalised tuition for students who need extra academic support—whether due to absence from school, special educational needs, or targeted intervention programmes.
Our network of experienced and fully vetted tutors can deliver 1:1 or small group sessions, both in-person and online, with flexibility to suit each student’s individual learning style and curriculum requirements.
We offer:
- Tailored academic catch-up programmes
- Long and short-term tuition placements
- Subject-specific support across all key stages
- Experienced SEND tutors and mentors
- Regular progress tracking and reporting
We work collaboratively with school leaders, SENCOs, and local authorities to ensure our provision aligns with school objectives and makes a measurable impact.
Safeguarding
At Telios Tutors, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all students, tutors, and families we work with. We are entrusted with working with large numbers of young people so online safety is at the top of our priority. Every bit of due diligence is undertaken to ensure peace of mind and assurance at Telios Tutors.
DBS Checks
All tutors undergo enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks via our registered partner UKCRBs. These are reviewed and verified before a tutor begins working with any student, and tutors are encouraged to join the DBS Update Service for ongoing clearance visibility.
Online Safeguarding Policy
Our online safeguarding policy ensures that virtual lessons are conducted with the same diligence and care as in-person sessions. We take the following measures to maintain a safe online learning environment:
- All online lessons are held on secure and reputable platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Google Meet).
- Parents are encouraged to be aware of scheduled sessions and, where appropriate, present in the home during lessons.
- Tutors receive safeguarding training and clear guidelines for professional boundaries, communication, and reporting concerns.
- We have a designated Safeguarding Lead who manages any concerns or incidents with discretion and in accordance with national guidance.
Safeguarding is a shared responsibility, and we are here to support both parents and tutors with any concerns or queries.
