Every week, we honour and show recognition to a student who has shown excellence. This week, we want to celebrate Haja, who has demonstrated excellent listening skills.
Our Student of the Week is Haja, who has been working hard to hone her skills in a variety of core subjects with Tutor Callie. During all of these lessons, Callie has noticed Haja’s attention and willingness to absorb the information being delivered.
Listening is one of the most important skills for successful learning. There are always potential distractions in both school and tutoring lessons. It is not easy for students to keep a strict focus on their learning and this can become a difficulty which impairs the progress being made.
This week, Haja has practised the use of number lines to represent amounts of money. This task was designed to strengthen her ability to see the relationship between varying double-digit numbers. In science, Haja has continued her study of Plants and her comprehension in this topic was tested. Both of these activities demanded attention and effort.
Haja has frequently demonstrated a genuine interest in her learning by engaging herself fully in every task her Tutor has set. At Telios, we understand how difficult this can be sometimes, especially when faced with complex subjects. This is why we have decided that our Student of the Week award should go to Haja, whose listening skills provide the best foundation for a productive lesson!
Well done Haja, we are so proud of your commitment to your lessons!
