Student of the Month – Gabriela

Every month we love to acknowledge and give recognition to excellence. Gabriela, a 10 year old student has been working with us for almost 2 years now and has really made quite a remarkable impression.

Gabriela originally came to us with not too much confidence in writing or mathematical ability. After consistent lessons and a lot of hard work, she is now writing beautifully with an abundant application of metaphors, similes and personifications.

In Maths, she has been working on some past exam papers and her results indicate that she is able to derive answers in a very logical and analytical manner. She is generally performing above the national average in both subjects.

She has transitioned from being in the ‘middle table’ at school to the ‘top table’ in all subjects. Her development has been hugely evident in the way she approaches learning, with so much eagerness and desire to improve.

It continues to be a privilege to work so closely and journey with Gabriela; witness her personal growth after each and every lesson.

Here’s what Gabriela said about her experience in working with us:

My favourite this about having a tutor is I get to learn much more advanced things compared to what I learn at school. We have very productive lessons and do so much more in one hour compared to what I do sometimes in a term at school.

I have also developed so much more confidence and self discipline. My favourite thing about online tutoring is it allows me to access high quality education on a 1 to 1 basis. Since working with my tutor, I have improved my level of Maths and English significantly.

We have so much variety in our work and have the opportunity to learn a huge range of skills that I may not be able to do by myself or at school.

My school teacher used to allocate me on second sheet (average level) and now I am given sheet 3 (the most advanced levels) even after a couple of lessons with my tutor. Since then, I have been the highest performing student in my class.

We are extremely proud of your efforts, Gabriela. Keep up the incredible work!
