About me
Hello, my name is Richard and I am a qualified teacher with over fifteen years of teaching experience.
I have experience in preparing children for the 11+ examination (VR, NVR, Maths and English).
For many years I have been teaching the 11+ and have helped more than a dozen students to pass the entrance exam of their chosen schools.
My current place of work is at a large Primary School in North London. I also teach the 11+ examination after school on Wednesdays at a tuition centre in London.
During the day I work as a Year 6 teacher but also have experience teaching in Key Stage One as well as other years in Key Stage Two.
I have an English Language and Literature degree from Goldsmith’s College, University of London and have a PGCE in Primary education.
Teaching Experience
I have experience working with students from a wide range of learning backgrounds and am able to help students from a variety of abilities make good progress.
It is also very important in this line of work to be a kind, patient and considerate figure to my students.
My 11+ students are taught in their home setting as well as online.
I am able to communicate confidently in written and spoken English as well as being very capable with ICT. I have a wide range of ICT learning materials to help children with their learning.
In addition to this, I provide parents/ carers with regular feedback on how their child/ children are doing.
