I am confident in both my subject knowledge and the exam-style questions of different specifications. I have a bank of tried and tested resources to use with my students. My focus is on tailoring lessons to each student. By keeping a student’s own goals and strengths in mind, we can reach their full potential together.
I can provide my students with questions or experiment tasks to complete offline. Tasks like these broaden their knowledge and encourage them to learn in a different way. My students enjoy these tasks, which also allow me to assess their progress.
I have received a First Class degree in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. Currently, I am studying for a master’s degree in Mental Health at the University of Nottingham.
My favourite subjects to teach are AQA GCSE Biology and Chemistry, and A-level Psychology. I know the requirements for these subjects inside-out. This familiarity helps me to provide a complete and enjoyable education for my students.
I was among the first to take the new A-levels in 2017. As a result I am familiar with the demands of the newer courses and this gives me a great advantage as a tutor.I have three years of private online tutoring experience, teaching between ages 8-18. I also delivered 1-2-1 and small group tutoring in person throughout my time at sixth form. In total, I have completed over 470 lessons, and have a strong track record of success in my students.
Over time I have been a Psychology, Maths and Science tutor for students with a wide range of abilities. This has allowed me to show my flexible approach to learning. I teach KS2-3 Maths and Science; GCSE Biology and Chemistry; and A-Level Psychology. Previous students have included EAL students and students with ADHD. I understand the needs of those who are shy and anxious.
