Description: Liz is an online private tutor with experience teaching from Primary level up to GCSE. As well as English and RE, Liz also teaches dance. Here is an outline of her tutor profile.
About Me
My name is Liz and I have been teaching for a number of years. Even when I was in school, staff members would pick me out to tutor younger students as they spotted my love and ability for teaching.
I have experience teaching mainstream and SEN (Special Educational Needs) students.
I absolutely love to teach and will get just as excited as a student when they finally hit that breakthrough moment.
It is my priority that my students feel happy and confident in every lesson.
Not only do we work together on their academic skills but I will also endeavour to boost their confidence and self-belief as we move through our sessions together.
Outside of being a private tutor, I am also a dance teacher.
I have been dancing for 15 years and was accepted into the Royal Academy of Dance in 2018.
As well as my dancing I love to get involved in the community and often fundraise and volunteer for the homeless.
Over lockdown, I raised £500 for various charities – donating to my local food bank and running dance events for a local deaf school.
Teaching Experience
I have experience tutoring in English and Religious Education up to GCSE level.
During my years as a tutor, I have mentored face to face in small groups as well as online in 1:1 and small group settings.
I love to see a student that has taken ownership of their learning. It’s important for them to find a way to relate their studies back to their real life.
From something as simple as ‘Describe something close to you using three adjectives.’ to ‘How do you think analysing speech can help you understand the news?’
I look forward to creating a lasting impact on many students educational journeys.
