Description: Tina has extensive experience working as an online tutor helping students in KS1 and KS2 improve their English skills. She has worked in Primary School environments with children that are involved in therapeutic and social-emotional support. Here is an outline of her tutor profile.
About Me
My name is Tina and I am dedicated, patient and caring with ten years experience of working in a primary school classroom setting.
I regularly worked with smaller groups or on a one to one basis with children.
Some of my one to one interventions with children involved therapeutic and social-emotional support.
I tutor online where I mainly teach young learners on a one-on-one basis.
The focus is on English grammar, vocabulary, reading and conversation, as part of EF’s blended learning model.
I am fluent in German and fluent in English. In addition, I am TEFL and TESOL certified.
I am also interested in artistic and creative activities, such as art, music and dancing.
Teaching Experience
Until now, I have been working part-time as a teaching assistant and therapeutic support staff at a SEMH resource unit within a mainstream primary school.
I also offer therapeutic support at a similar resource unit at a secondary mainstream school.
My responsibilities involved supporting pupils/students in class during lessons and offering emotional support through various one to one interventions.
Working at the primary school allowed me to have a good insight into primary school education.
Online, I mainly teach young learners aged 6 – 10, who are based in China.
The lessons involve one-on-one online teaching sessions focusing on English grammar, vocabulary, reading and conversation, as part of EF’s blended learning model.
Online Tutoring
Furthermore, I am a Preply English /German Tutor, with 19 active students from different backgrounds and ages.
Having done over 800 teaching hours, I organize, plan and deliver interactive and engaging lessons with a variety of teaching methods depending on individual learning needs.
I use a range of lesson materials provided by Preply as well as other resources available.
The youngest students are five eight-years old’s, who I support with learning their first foreign language.
I have the pleasure of also teaching teenagers in their early secondary school education. I support them with their educational needs.
Through online tutoring in the past months, I have discovered a new and exciting way to help young learners to reach their full potential and raise their confidence.
I also completed a 180-hours combined TEFL and TESOL course and regularly attend teaching webinars to continue to improve my teaching skills and abilities.
