My tuition method focuses on identifying the general topics which a student needs assistance with. I do this before assessing the student’s understanding with questions to find what specific concepts the student needs clarifying. Typically I will prepare a session in advance to include example questions which are relevant to the student’s exam board. I can then set a homework sheet based on the day’s topics which I would mark and return to my student, ironing out particular points if necessary.

My specialism is exam preparation tutoring. I have taught the OCR, Edexcel, and AQA syllabuses for A-level physics. In addition, the OCR, Edexcel and MEI syllabuses for A-levels maths and further maths.
In addition to my tuition experience is academic excellence; I achieved a 1st (scoring 82%) in my second year exams at Oxford. Next year I will study a Masters degree in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics, also at Oxford. My intentions is to pursue a school teaching career.

Notably I’ve tutored Further Maths A-level, the Oxford Physics Aptitude Test (PAT) entrance exam and I’ve given mock interviews for Oxford physics and engineering applications. Being an Oxford graduate, I can offer guidance on anyone who would like to apply to The University of Oxford as well as other universities in general.
In summer 2018 I taught a class of ten for two days on a course aimed to help students pass the PAT (physics aptitude test).
I have taken a module in Teaching Physics in Schools as part of my undergraduate degree, which included six days of experience as a teaching assistant.
