Maths and Science Tutor Patrick

Description: Patrick has a special interest in being a Maths and Science Tutor. He particularly teaches GCSE and A-Level. Here is a short outline of his profile:

About Me

Hi, my name is Patrick and I am educated at University level in Systems Engineering. I have always enjoyed learning STEM subjects and credit this to previous supportive teachers. They inspired so many to pursue these subjects at A-Level and University so it is also my aim is to be able to make my pupils realise their true potential. Being a Maths and Science tutor, I have the privilege of sharing my knowledge and skillset.

Teaching Experience

Throughout higher education, it was a learning experience to independently tutor in Mathematics at GCSE and A-Level. I have also helped KS3 students in Mathematics and Science through a school mentorship scheme. It became clear that tutoring is a challenging but rewarding vocation. Moreover, it was wonderful to have developed a lasting rapport with all of my students. It is a great honour to have been a part of so many students educational journeys.

My Methods

First and foremost I base my teaching methods on building confidence in students. I have tackled new and challenging topics slowly and with enthusiasm. I believe that practising as a wide variety of questions as possible is essential to exam success. If students worked towards a specific exam, I made sure that they have completed as many past paper questions. Exposing students to a variety of question types and difficulty levels is something I put great emphasis on.
