Description: Shozab has a Economics degree from UCL and is a private tutor who has extensive experience within the education sector, from working as a teacher at a private school to being a specialist marker at Edexcel. Here’s a short snippet of his tutor profile:
I have worked at a leading independent school in North London – The Mount, Mill Hill International and have been tutoring for the past the four years in Mathematics and Economics.
I am also a Specialist Marker at Edexcel. My main interest in tutoring comes principally from my curiosity in working with pupils on a one-to-one basis to liberate their cognitive potential as well as my general love of disseminating information and knowledge to others.
I believe that there is no standardised model for teaching. Every student learns in their own way and I hope to foster creative and inspired methods to engage each individual student.
I predominantly focus on coaching senior school students for exam success at IGCSE, A-level, IB and Oxbridge entrance. I also help younger students in prep school for Scholarships and Common Entrance exams at 13+.
Furthermore, I assist university students in the mathematical components of their course. Some of the modules that I have covered with undergraduates include Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Political Analysis and Maths for Business.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing racket sports – particularly table tennis, badminton and squash. I am an avid Formula One fan and follow the sport wherever it goes. I am a member of the Oxford Union and regularly attend debates and speaker events. I am also a member of Oxford Entrepreneurs; I enjoy reading books and articles on leadership and self-development. I enjoy socialising with friends and meeting new people, this helps me to unwind and learn about new cultures.
