Description: Hannah is bilingual in English and Spanish, has a qualification in TEFL so can each English as a foreign language. She is am currently undergoing a PGDE in Primary Education at the University of Aberdeen, Here’s a snippet of her tutor profile.
I have worked in both upper stages (age 11-12) and early years (age 6-7) in different school placements. I have successfully completed both placements and received positive feedback from my schools, support teachers and visiting tutors.
After graduating in 2018 I moved to China to teach English in an early years setting, working cooperatively with the Chinese teachers I taught English every day to children aged 2 to 4. Bringing new and innovative ideas to each lesson, fostering positive relationships between the children and their individual learning journeys.
Being attentive to the children’s emotional needs, working hard to build positive relationships with every pupil and ensuring an environment that supported children in improving their self-esteem with regards to language.
In my Erasmus year I lived in Spain, working in a bilingual primary school and nursery, delivering English lessons to children from age 3 to 12 as part of the British Council Language Assistant Programme.
I mostly enjoy reading and practicing yoga in my spare time. Yoga is something that I have taken into each school I have taught in, helping children to relax and de-stress within a learning environment. Teaching children mindfulness through yoga practice can be hugely beneficial for their overall physical and mental well-being.
