About Me
Hello, my name is Martha and I am a qualified English as a Foreign Language tutor.
With an Enhanced DBS certification and a 140-hour TEFL/TESOL certification, I am passionate about teaching English to learners of all ages.
As a native English speaker with an Undergraduate Degree with Honours in Fine Art from the prestigious Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design at the University of Dundee, Scotland, I bring a unique blend of creativity and expertise to the classroom.
In addition to my certifications and qualifications, I have completed Seneca Teacher Training, which delved into the fascinating world of cognitive science and its application in the classroom.

Teaching Experience
As a TEFL/TESOL teacher, I have been consistently providing weekly remote tutoring services, devising and delivering lessons to children and adults of varying levels, monitoring student progress, and writing weekly reports.
Helping students work towards achieving their goals has been a core part of my teaching philosophy in this fully remote environment.
I create all of my lesson plans, using a combination of existing materials and self-made, ones to enhance the student’s learning experience.
I find remote tutoring to be an environment in which I flourish and thoroughly enjoy working with students to help them achieve their highest potential.

In this fully remote, start-up environment, I have been the early point of contact for clients, conducting initial and regular meetings to ensure continuous customer satisfaction and confidence.
This role requires consistent and organised internal and external communication to help build and maintain relationships with clients, as well as problem-solving and navigating complex tasks on a daily basis.
