Description: Silvia is a qualified lawyer and has a Masters degree in International Politics. She specialises in tutoring Economics and Law amongst a wide variety of other subjects/skills. Here is a snippet of her tutor profile.

About Me

My name is Sylvia and I attended King’s College London to do my LLB Law degree. Following that, I did a Master’s degree in International Politics and then went on to qualify as a lawyer. My career started working as a banking and international finance lawyer. After some time I decided to seek a career change, looking for more rewarding work.

I am very friendly and approachable and a careful listener. My hobbies include travelling and an active lifestyle. I like to always keep my mind open to learning by reading lots of books and audiobooks on a variety of topics.

Teaching Experience

As a highly experienced online tutor, I have an array of students who have been with me long term. Each student has their own personal/academic goals and we create a structured road map together in order to achieve this.

I teach English as a second language to children/teenagers, aged 13-16 and to adults. My main focus is coaching students on how to perform well in Cambridge interviews. It is difficult to know how to select universities to study in the UK so I advise my students. I use my experience as a previous student in the UK to help students understand the expectations and qualities required.

My adult students who require help with English skills (IELTS) have also benefited from career/employability/education coaching on my side. I have taught them how to use the STAR technique to answer application questions. Also, the skills required on how to write a personal statement.

Currently, some of my students have gained admission to universities in the UK and I am assisting them in developing effective study skills. Our relationships are friendly and professional and I really enjoy working as a tutor.
