City of London School for Boys & Law Tutor Neel

Description: Neel is a law tutor and tutors up to university egree level. He is a highly committed tutor with a strong work ethic and has personal experience with helping students with learning difficulties. A graduate from one of the top independent schools in London – City of London School for Boys. Here’s a short snippet of his tutor profile.

My aim is to nurture the student get to the solution independently, as opposed to ‘spoonfeeding’, as that will put them in the best position when it comes to exams and learning new topics.

I have previously mentored younger pupils at a secondary school, where I was responsible for the timing, location and content of each of the weekly lessons. My brief included mentoring in Geography and French. The student went from a C to an A grade during my tenure.

I have also undertaken tutoring at a local school, where I helped teach primary school age children (7-10 year olds). This was in a group setting; while there were no examinations, there had been a significant improvement in the pupils’ educational attainment.

Whilst at university, I mentored online during term time and in person during holidays. Since graduating, I have tutored alongside my full-time roles.

I have significant experience in students with learning difficulties, confidence issues, revision strategies, learning tips and exam preparation. I also have tutored at the KS1, KS2, KS3, GCSE, IGCSE, AS, A-Level and Degree levels.

Regarding school entrance exams, I have successfully tutored and mentored for the 7, 10, 11, 13 and 16+ exams, as well as UCAS university admissions (personal statements and entrance tests). Finally, I also have personal and professional knowledge of the London private-day schools system as well as some exposure to Boarding school admissions.
