My focus is helping primary school, Key Stage 3 and GCSE students who are studying Mathematics, Chemistry or Physics to be comfortable with the scientific concepts and to practice applying them to problems.
I also help with the 11+ preparation having attended a grammar school for girls and prepared my younger brother also. This includes the Maths, English and reasoning element of the examination.
My friendly and approachable nature enables me to work and communicate effectively with tutees throughout my sessions. I aim to develop the confidence and enthusiasm my students have for their subjects by having engaging discussions, working through examples together and tackling questions.
I start by identifying what each individual hopes to get out of tutoring, so that I can tailor my lessons to their needs and ensure they receive a flexible and personalised tutoring experience designed for their success.
I am a reliable and organised person and am fluent with numbers, having completed A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics (along with Physics, Chemistry and Economics) during 6th Form.
Having achieved 100% A*-A in these subjects, I have extensive knowledge of the fundamental concepts and am well equipped to explain them to others. I spent half a year tutoring students on a one-to-one basis.
Through these experiences I’ve been able to help students to better understand topics they are struggling with and have enjoyed seeing them maximise their potential.
