How is Coding Important For Children?

Description: Computer Science and Coding tutor, Rina, shares her expertise knowledge on how Coding is important for our children in this day and age.

First of all, what is Coding?

Coding is the process of transforming ideas and instructions into a language that the computer can understand.

It helps children learn to solve problems and teaches kids how to think.

Kids who learn to code will need to take a vague idea and use their creativity to turn it into something effective.

A child expands creativity when they start learning how to code.

A child who learns how to code will have an advantage in life.

They will be given a vast more employment opportunities available to them in the future, no matter which industry they decide to enter whether it be in the technology sector, finance, retail, health or other.

This is an important reason why kids should learn coding.

Using their logic and calculation skills while creating something of their own can make maths more engaging and fun.

So Overall learning Coding makes kids confident to use technology and increases creativity, logical skills and out-of-the-box thinking.

What is the Right Age to Start Coding?

If your child is 7 years old, they can learn at least fundamental coding concepts.

The right age to start learning to code will change from child to child.

At this stage, they will start creating small animation and small game projects to which they will get attracted and they will start taking interest in learning more about coding.

Once they are familiar with the basic concepts, we can move on to something bigger and more advanced.
