Private English Tutor Sam

Description: Qualified teacher and Private English tutor Sam specialises in teaching English up to A-Level. Here is an outline of her tutor profile.

About Me

My name is Sam and I am a well-travelled and experienced English teacher. As a published novelist and qualified online tutor, I focus the majority of my time on helping students reach their academic goals.

I have always found solace and empowerment in reading and writing. My strongest belief is that language and communication is a vital part of our lives.

Furthermore, I have found tutoring a rewarding aspect of my qualifications and experience as it allows me one-to-one teaching alongside my usual large classes.

Teaching Experience

I am a qualified English teacher with a First Class Honours degree in English Language and Literature. Since I began teaching I have been an English teacher in three outstanding schools.

I have taught English Language, Literature, Communication and Culture and Creative writing at A level, as well as teaching Years 8-11. I have been responsible for the GCSE English curriculum.

This role has made me accountable for the creation of strategizing, monitoring, assessing and delivering the GCSE curriculum.

I led Years 9, 10 and 11 and managed the needs of the students in all aspects of their learning and well-being.

I am excited to focus my attention on a more 1 to 1 basis. This way I can fully delve into a students personal academic needs. Structure and goals can be easily identified this way and I aim to enhance my student’s motivation.
