A-level Physics And Maths Tutor Max

A-Level Physics and Maths Tutor Max

Description: Max is an A-Level Physics and Maths tutor. He has a great passion for sharing his knowledge in these subjects. Here is an outline of his tutor profile.

About Me

My name is Max and I am educated to University degree level in Physics. I have studied Physics and Mathematics to a high level for many years. I have achieved an A* in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics, with an A in Further Mathematics at A-Level.

My Methods

Taking mostly mathematical subjects, I found the way in which I revised helped me immensely. With subjects like maths and physics, I found that attempting as many exercises as possible, especially on the topic areas I found challenging, prepared me for every eventuality in the exam. In contrast, A-Level biology required the understanding of processes and definitions, and chemistry became the middle ground between the two types of revision, requiring both to succeed.

Many students suggest taking notes on the syllabus for every subject but it’s my opinion that this is an ineffective way to learn, as it takes a long time to write up and students can fall into the trap of writing down what they already know. I would only suggest scanning the syllabus for areas you don’t know and writing very condensed notes.

I have had previous experience tutoring in person at KS3 level and online at GCSE level on other tutoring websites. Furthermore, I have previous experience volunteering at a local primary school, which taught me to be patient with my tutees. I look forward to continuing tutoring and helping as many students as possible.
