About me
My name is Polly and I specialise in tutoring Law and Sociology. I am looking forward to being able to share my passion and knowledge in the subjects of Law and Sociology. During my years in education, I thoroughly enjoyed Sociology and went above and beyond, achieving an A* on top of creating many revision documents. I hope to become a solicitor in personal legal services.
Experience
I have previously worked in classroom settings with children who have struggled with learning difficulties. Also, I have experience in tutoring A level students in English Literature, History and Sociology on a 1:1 and small group basis. We worked to target areas that they were unsure about. We focusing mostly on exam technique and that extra push from either a C to an A or an A to an A*.
I created many revision resources, booklets, and example essay questions and styles in order to aid their exam preparation. This was a very emotionally challenging time for students, but I went the extra mile in order to ensure they had the support they needed. Working with a 1 to 1 law tutor can enhance your progress, especially if you lack confidence and understanding.
My aim
I aim to provide lessons that are client-focused and will discuss and detect student’s weaknesses from the first lesson. This will provide a clear aim and structure of what we need to work on in order to achieve the best grade. I also would like to spend significant time on practical applications to ensure students feel more than prepared. I will always push my students to work their hardest as I am incredibly enthusiastic about giving students from all backgrounds the best chance at learning.
