Yale University Graduate International Tutor & London Tutor Miranda

Description: ESL and English tutor Miranda has successfully tutored primary school ESL students in Beijing. Here’s a snippet of her tutor profile.

I am an experienced private London tutor and a graduate from Yale University and also a founder of a Model UN organisation involved in creating curricula and teaching younger students and peers in international relations, history, and political topics, as well as research, writing, public speaking, and organisational skills.

I continued this teaching while at Yale, both via organising conferences and teaching ESL and native speaker secondary school students every Friday for four years on a variety of topics. I have greatly enjoyed these experiences and hope to be able to continue sharing my knowledge and passion for learning and knowledge with students in the UK.

I am currently a PhD student in the Defense Studies Department at King’s College London. I previously earned a MA degree in Intelligence and International Security in the KCL War Studies department and a BA in political science from Yale University. Prior to higher education, I successfully completed the IB Diploma programme at Dulwich College Beijing, as well as multiple (I)GCSEs.

I also have advanced Mandarin language skills in speaking, reading, and writing and am a native English speaker. My specialties for tutoring are history, politics, English language and literature, and Mandarin. I am passionate about education and learning, and eager to share my knowledge and enthusiasm.
