Vanessa has been a long-standing tutor at Telios Tutors, and has been an instrumental part of many of our young students’ academic and personal development. Vanessa spent a year in Japan, teaching English as a foreign language.

I’m very enthusiastic about teaching and interacting with different types of people; this enthusiasm can be clearly demonstrated in all my professional endeavours. I have always had an interest and passion for languages, linguistics and teaching English to all kinds of students, in particular, foreign students. It is an interest and passion that I am very actively developing into my future career and a quest that I am determined to achieve. I have obtained my Linguistics degree at the School of Oriental and African studies, and have a CELTA qualification. My passion for teaching has driven me to apply for teaching roles that has permitted me to gain much experience and as a result, furthered my love for the profession.

• Supporting students who may be struggling with their studies, as well as challenging students and encouraging them to reach their potential.
